In the case of scheduled long-distance bus and coach lines in the EU, special rights apply to connections whose route is at least 250 kilometres. Passengers shall be entitled to free assistance at designated terminals, as well as at boarding and leaving.

Assistance must be notified at least 36 hours in advance to the carrier, ticket vendor or travel agency. The terminal can ask you to come to the designated location up to an hour before departure.

Check before travelling

  • Is the assistance confirmed in writing?
  • Do you know the exact rendezvous point and time of arrival?
  • Do you have contact with the carrier and the reservation number?
