Jarda and I met for the first time on Sunday.
In Opava.
We loaded up. They got in the car. And they went to Katowice through Olomouc, where we met Lego. We spent the night in Katowice because we're flying to Malaga in the morning. We therefore did not want to make the Opava > airport trip to Katowice until the day of departure.
Jarda was nervous. That's understandable. I guess I was, too. First time we see each other is the day before the trip. And we're going straight to Spain for two weeks.
We landed on Monday.
And we found out the car we had booked wasn't ready for us. The rental canceled our reservation the moment we were on the plane.
So, taxi.
One hundred and twenty euros. - Estepone.
It didn't seem like an advantage at the time. But it happens sometimes. The thing that pisses you off first turns out to be actually good.
Later, it turns out we don't need a car anyway. We have an apartment. A little sea. Business. Pool. And Jarda, who's happy to have his own bathroom with a toilet. And we're bringing him dinner right now.
Salad. Eggs. Light dressing.
We're at sea on Tuesday. Jard for the first time in his life.
Slowly and carefully sit on the beach. He had his first night in Spain. First plane ride with us. First day in Estepona.
It's quiet for a while.
Then he says, "And my life's dream came true. "
He pulls down his pants and lays naked on a blanket.
So good.
We're at sea.
